Kinder Service Learning Page
This year the four Kindergarten classes joined efforts and worked together with the Hospital Nacional de Niños, in order to support four children who were born with Spinal Bifida.
Meet the kids we helped!
Each week, our students brought one item from the canasta basica. We divided the items per class per week and by the end of the month delivered a full CANASTA BASICA to each of our families. Every Kinder
student has had the opportunity to meet with these families, making this a truly meaningful experience.
Additionally, the Kinder students created original artwork that was auctioned at an Art Show and Bake Sale to raise funds for our families. With these funds, we were able to purchase a wheelchair, leg braces, a bed, eyeglasses, a special shower chair, and other household appliances.

Our Artwork
Through this experience, our Kinder students have
been exposed to children who are different than themselves. It has taught our students to be Global Citizens who work for peace and the importance of helping those in need.
